I love silk and love working with silk. Silk is a crisp fabric but made with irregular slubs in the yarn.
These drapes are in a bedroom and I added buttons to match.
A beautiful Look. Pinch pleats with a swag and trim.

North Idaho is where I live and lodge is the theme here. I made cornices and added solid color drapes under them. Also a pillow for fun.

This was my very first job 15 years ago. Nice to go back and see they are still in great shape.

Sunbrella Fabric

I recovered these cushions over the summer. Sunbrella is a beautiful but expensive fabric.
If you are going to invest in your furniture you might as well go all the way. Sunbrella will not fade or mildew.

Nature

Nature at its best. A cornice for a window adds a layer of color without adding too much. I love to make cornices.

Playful and Fun

The top picture is a panel with a swag and beads. This is also still in my shop and there will be a total of 4 panels. This customer is fun and playful and these drapes show it. Elegant but fun. I had leftover fabric and made a table runner to go with.

Cuffs

This is still hanging in my shop and there is 4 panels that will hang in a bay window. The widths are a little smaller then usual because  we did not take want to take up too much of the window. This customer came over to the shop and we played with fringe and beads. I really liked the way it came out.

Pillows

Whenever possible if there is leftover fabric I like to make something for the customer at no charge. This time its pillows.

Grommet Drapes

These drapes are very wide and high. I love grommets mostly because of the way they stack so nicely.
When doing drapes this big I add batons to the leading edges and do grom- a -link on the backside. The bead on the grom- a- link helps to slide the drapes. The biggest helper is the silicone spray on the rod to help the grommets slide.

Beautiful View

Double rods on the sides with grommet panels underneath the sheers.
A rosette was placed on top with sheers dropping down to form a swag and then over grommet panels once again on the sides.
